Just 4 Kids Consignment Sale

VOLUNTEERS SHOP FIRST!!

• All volunteers are expected to arrive 15 minutes before their shift for training.
• On Wednesday and Friday, the last 2 time slots overlap.  If you would like to work both of those, you must be able to come in an hour early.
• Sunday and Friday time slots involve heavy lifting.  Do not sign up for these time slots if you have physical limitations.  Also dress appropriately, you will get dirty.
• Saturday time slots involve heavy cleaning.  Again, dress appropriately.
• All time slots may involve any or all of the following:  cleaning, taking out trash, running errands, sorting, straightening, assisting customers, or any other needed task. 
• Volunteers working Monday from 4p-7p can shop at 7p.  Volunteers working Monday from 7p-10p must work 1 or 2 more time slots to be able to shop early.
• Certain timeslots fill up quickly. Weekend and night slots fill up in the first few days so don’t wait to sign up!

We need volunteers to distribute our half sheet flyer to family oriented businesses in the following areas:

Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Apex, Cary, Garner, Clayton, Angier, Lillington, Dunn, and Raleigh

*We will supply each volunteer with the flyers and a list of businesses.  Sign up for these slots on the volunteer page.  You must be available to pick up flyers on 9/11/10 or 9/12/10.

We also need volunteers to obtain shopping bags.  Contact Jacqui for more information.

We need a volunteer with a truck to haul away our trash twice during the sale. This person would need to come to the sale on Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon.  This responsibility is worth 2 time slots or can be split between 2 different volunteers (worth 1 time slot each).

Shopping is more fun with a friend. Consider swapping childcare with another consignor, so that you both could shop early. Many of our volunteers make a night of it.

All volunteers will be required to sign a volunteer commitment.  If a volunteer does not fulfill their obligation, they will not be allowed to volunteer with Just 4 Kids in the future.  If that volunteer is also a consignor, they will receive 65% of their sales.  These penalties will be imposed even if the volunteer did not shop early.

Our volunteers are so important to us. We could not do it without you. Our volunteers have many times gone beyond what is reasonable or expected so please know how much we value you.
